hello all, my land rover has a slight engine problem. The model is a 2.25 perkins diesel, and when driving along at about half rev (25mph) the engine starts to 'miss' quite badly, the strange thing is that it is only on this rev. Above or below the engine is fine. Is there any suggestions i can do to fiz this? thanks

Governor hunting in injection pump.

Are you sure it's a 2.25 Perkins?

What make and model is the fuel injection pump?

Make SURE that the tickover is NOT set by the main throttle stop if it has a separate tick-over adjuster.

im sure its a perkins, on the fuel injection pump the model is a C.A.V and then its says made by the m.o.d. (being a lightweight) when it is ticking over the throttle sits back on the throttle stop.

Beside the fuel inlet connection, is there another small arm (very short) with an adjusting screw that leans on the fuel inlet connector?

If there is, that is the tick-over adjuster.

Let me know.
