A mate of mine araldited the head gaskets on a triumph stag ,it lasted for thousands of mile's, God help the mech that had to take them off .
Remarkable stuff, but all this "I couldn't live myself," whilst admirable, is not really how one should prepare a vehicle for sale....really.
Where is the 'get real' button?
I can lend you a dremel.I'm not like everyone else fella
I get your doubts. But the indie reported the engine arrived from RPI in a crate and was basically immaculate. He dropped it in at 84k. I bought it at 86k.
He did tell me recently that the owner roasted the lump not days after he collected it up from the indie... Turned out to be the AC condenser fins were blocked (which was highly likely what killed the original engine).
Then it sat for 5yrs before I collected it... That's the history.
I have spent a fortune on this car

This romantic association with your engine is preposterous, either goo it, tig it, or go get Wazza's unknown.
I sleep fine, there are bodges and there are work-arounds,I have a Dremmel and many many other tools.... But I don't have a "bodge it" tool. So while I understand the "sell it as is" idea, I cannot and will not do that to someone else as it hurts to be shat on and I have enough hurt to end my lifetime and some to pass on in my will.
It's not romantic or looking for jeebus, it's just doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do. Something I have instilled in my son. He "know's" doing the right thing allows you to sleep soundly

of course a nice new or good block would be easy to throw in, and that's what I'd do...if I was keeping it.
Where u gonna find an honest block?
Be nicer if he was just 'roon ee corner' though.Wazzajnr.

That's great, hope it's a goodun.I have spake with a member who has what seems to be a good running lump.
I have spend money on many tools and an engine crane load leveler tool as I had some fun (not fun) with my pal while removing the engine.
So it looks as if I may have to go to a foreign land and remove a lump
However, said member has come up with an amazing (and remarkably kind) offer.
He must be related
What's the mileage on your dash @Doo ?
Are you going to install Wazza's engine wholesale?106,000 odd....
