engine mounts

hi every one want to change engine in my 11o and was wondering if any one could tell me do i after cut the engine mounts off of the chassis and weld them back on or is there any where i can purchase new ones from cheers martin

i am puting a 300 tdi in it has a 2-5 na diesel in at moment

Hi matey give this company a ring, Apricot Motors 01454 777544 they have done quite a few Tdi conversions 2 of them for me a 200 disco engine into a 2.5na 110 and a 300Tdi also into a 110 the results look like this

. They have templates for the engine mounts ask to speak to Dom.

ive got a couple if you want them.
just cut them off my chassis.

no worries martin.
ive also got a 300tdi cross member if you need one.
i bought a rolling chassis a while back and it was set up for a 300tdi so its all here gathering dust.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it is along the same lines as my question, I have just sourced a 2.5D NA sherpa engine from a c reg for my 84 90 petrol, will the engine mount brackets from the petrol fit the diesel lump? I'm hoping that it's the same block otherwise I need some? I'm sure the chassis brackets fit petrol or diesel is that correct?? Also is there any flywheen/clutch problems with this??

i think the petrol and diesel mountings right up to 200tdi were the same.
the 300 onwards are different,
not to sure about a sherpa engine , you might have to swap the mounting 'legs' that bolt to either side of the block.
only one way to find out for sure.

I'm hoping someone here has done it Nobber!
I just like to know before starting so I can get the bit's ready.
