engine gearbox removal

hi can the engine and auto box be removed without splittiing from a rangerover classic
workshop manual says no

simple answer is no

hi, just to put your mind at ease, or not... yes you can take this complete unit out,, but you need a high gantry and a pit to accommadate the angle that has to be used to remove, its easier (and lighter )if you remove the transfer box first.. highly recommended. i used to do a lot of off roading with my last bobtail that i built, and a friend and i managed this operation....hope this helps
