Ok I hope it works, you have to do it word for word apparently or it won't work all key movements are towards the front ( unlock) to put the numbers in and then back to the centre,do not turn the key back past the centre position whilst putting in the numbers or it will cancel the operation.Good luck
No, it's one way for digit one of the code, then the other way for digit 2 and so on.
If your manual says otherwise its wrong as far as I know.

Photo from my handbook just now.

I've no idea if that will work on the RR.Sorry bud was trying my best to help.Sure some one in the forum will now rightly give me stick but also tell you the right way for your range rover .Sorry again mate thought I was helping

I've posted the page from the manual.
I suspect, however, it won't work because it sounds as if the cdl microswitch isn't working.

You need the Disco section. You have to be quick though or they'll just be a pile of brown dust.

As Wammer said right at the start... If you lock with the fob, and unlock with the key then it will just unlock the drivers door. It doesn't necessarily mean the CDL is faulty. If you LOCK with the KEY then you should be able to unlock with the key and all doors should open.

My best guess is that it was designed this way to stop theft if anyone managed to get a copy of the key blade (as the manual says to use the remote to lock/unlock as the primary method) then someone couldn't just unlock it with a key blade, start it, and drive off. But locking with the key, unlocking with the key would let you start it (like if you left it with the valet and just gave them a manual key, keeping the remote with you).

If the EKA doesn't work, then it's time to start checking the microswitches in the door latch - but at the moment, the vehicle has just done what it was designed to do.
