be hard, I've used arc on thin stuff but that was just trying it out I don't own one myself so the only time I use it is under supervision in the workshop so wouldn't want to say but reckon with some thin rods and power ramped down you may get away with it ?
someone else will know better
Here guys what about this bugger? MIG electric welder | eBay

doc you have very little experience with welding, what a few hours from UNI............ but you make yourself out to be a pro, with many years, if not decades of experience............ seeing impaired leading the blind comes to mind
Simply saying what they told me about the Arc stuff and I'd trust their judgement/advice over yours any day of the week, the other methods are much better on thin stuff for ease of use and practicality
I said someone else will know better at any rate didn't I mr troll ...
One used to be head engineer on a large ship, the others have worked for various engineering firms doing testing etc
So again I'd take their words of wisdom over yours given that the guys have been doing it for at least 30 years now, all three of them are excellent and fabricate some really nice stuff for the formula cars we race at uni
Me got 43 years experience M8
You also in weird country and not here
Here they can explain and show how to do it then supervise making sure I've understood, better to show someone hands on how to do it then explain in writing, even with pics
Cant do anything if the place that loans me the power isn't open its actually ready to go, the wires are crimped and spade connected but no power from the supplier means nothing can happen.
Thus not all parts for the job were around
Little .mostly snowproofing the engine by shoving plastic bags into the open exhaust ports and clamping the engine into its mounts with a home made G clamp til I can get the welder up here, everywhere is shut so even if I was fool hardy enough to attempt to make it run in this weather I couldn't due to the local not being open to give me the usual battery I borrow at weekends. Currently searching part numbers to find out what fuel pumps I have
Decided my king cab will move back about 3/4 foot into the tub leaving plenty of pickup space and giving a decent amount of extra space in tub.
Lucky I made it here in the first place 70 motorists had to be rescued about a mile down the road when they got stuck in the storm .4ft drifts, theres a two foot drift in the drive
send us some snow from urs!!!!
