So.....should the EKA need to be used to start after disconnecting the battery? I ask out of interest as earlier this year my battery positive terminal managed to disconnect it'self (i didn't realise until i parked up, tried to lock it & nothing). Connected the positive terminal back & fired up straight away, just had to re-set radio & windows????
Had the battery off mine many times, never had to use the EKA:)

Ok, I guess that's with the correct disconnect procedure though ie. not disconnecting + terminal whilst ignition is on!

Every time on my previous 95 it needed EKA if not disconnected shortly after ignition off, my newer 2001 doesn't care, never needed EKA so far:rolleyes:

Method for disconnecting P38 battery is to loosen negative lead but leave in place. Switch ignition on and off then remove negative lead within 17 seconds. Never ever connect battery with doors shut and keys in car. Unless you have the drivers window open.

Yep, I knew that but sometimes you forget in the haste and learn something new:) (Hope it's not being superlocked out with keys inside, windows closed:rolleyes:)
