EGT range for 200tdi

Those of you using an EGT gauge. What temperatures do you typically see. I have my probe plumbed just after the turbo. What is considered the maximum temperature for the 200tdi?

I flipped out a little when i read that since my EGT guage stays at 800 at highway speeds, and this is with no injection pump adjustment!!
Then i remembered I am a dumb American and my guage is in F not C. 720C is 1328F. so yeah. Got some room to play.
