Removed it this morning from my TD5, so much more room around there and inside coked up.

Only done one trip so not able to tell any difference yet, but can't do any harm.

Decat will be next I think.

Put it this way. How well would you perform if you were forced to eat some of your own waste products? Ugh!

Did the egr delete a few weeks ago and just done the de-cat. Both well worth it. Next is centre box delete.

After that it starts getting a bit more expensive I'm afraid.

You might like to have a look at my de-restriction bloggy fing, where I try to give an informal appraisal of each stage of getting more out of the TD5.

I removed the EGR on our TD5 yesterday evening.

I was dreading trying to undo the two allen headed bolts on the exhaust manifold but they came out no problem at all.

Quite a lot of crap in the EGR valve but not as bad as some I have seen pictures of.

It's a 2000 model, so no CAT fitted.

It's a job to tell if there is a performance increase, it does seem to be going well, but is has been off the road for new air springs, gas shocks and steering damper, so the whole car seems to be much more up together.

Off to Halfords to bu a socket which fits the wheel nuts, even standing on the wheel thing won't undo it!

OK done the other side

Will write up a post on it with pictures and tools required

Not a hard job techically but large bars needed
