hi I have p38 1998 diesel when I press the eas lock button the ride height still moves up and down on it's on anybody had this problem thanks Andy

no the lock button light doe's illuminate but it seemed to lock before the last time I towed the caravan.

Check white plug at base of passenger A post for dampness corrosion and rotted off wires. This is the interface from height selector and lock switch to ECU.

hi finally got round at looking behind A post found 2 white plugs smaller seemed OK bigger one had corrosion inside tried to clean and applied loads of contact cleaner still the same, question is do I have the right plug, should I try a new switch or cut, clean and solder the wires together thanks Andy

I removed the two connectors completely on mine. Then cleaned the copper wire and soldered the wires together. No more bad connections to EAS Switch, or Left Door Amps.

Used the method on this link to clean the wires. Might work for the connectors if you dip them in a plastic cup of the solution, but make sure you do both parts of the process.
How to perfectly clean wires in minutes!!!

Edit:
My previous post on replacing the connectors http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/3061176-post10.html
