Some people also put some rubber or cork washers under the EAS box where it mounts. As Henry says it is sandwiched between dishes washers.

Under the box itself ? I like that idea very much. I have any number of hard-ish rubber washers I can use. In case it is not already well-known among the fraternity, I rescued them from those wired-top lemonade bottles - I knew they would be useful.

Afternoon J.

Is that "aggravated", as in "knackered" ? Sounds as if you have "previous" in this department. I don't think I have done much more than 1 km on full height and obviously only at low speed or the height would have kicked down. Suppose you wouldn't care to "quantify" serious ? now i'm in danger of running out of " " " 's.

Tony

I wouldn't say "knackered" but just complaining as you said you set you numbers higher.:) Even small distance may show a weakness:)

Get under and give them a wiggle, Or even a grease if your lucky.:)

Yep.

If you have height too high the dampers will run out of travel. The higher it goes the bigger the angle on the prop universal joints. I don't know what the limit is. Also, the panhard rod at the back will start to pull which could lead to odd effects.

I managed, not sure how to open the EAS suite after downloading 7zip cheers mate, problem now can't open any comm port, the other laptop has three, tried them all and all 12 options in the drop down menu in the suite. It's not the cable as the other laptop connects but inputs are difficult due to dodgy keyboard.WTF. I hate putors and electrickery.;)

While we're talking EAS again my car's decided to do the dog cocking its leg impression again. When I turn into my drive which is a sharp left hand turn and park up the passenger side sits higher than the driver's side. No faults showing on the Storie Wilson diagnostics, strange as I was thinking height sensor. Both laptops have the downloads ,one has developed a faulty keyboard, the other I cannot open because the WinZip has time expired. I've tried to find another download that Adobe can open but without luck. All advice welcome. I have thought of trying to download the useable one to a memory stick but with the dodgy keyboard I'm not sure if it's possible. Bloody putors and EAS.:D:D
Try 7Zip - free open source equivalent to Winzip. Works a treat and no issues with Zip archives.

Do you have a USB port you can plug a separate keyboard into? should work. And a cheap USB keyboard is usually under £5.

Dunno. I just use the Nanocom. If Windows 10 you could try right-clicking and set the compatibility mode to Win 98. That's how I got RAVE working.

I love this type of old kit that is usually so heavy it doesn't need bolting down. A photo would be nice.

As requested.

Sweet. When we have space (one day) my wife would like a small Myford like she used to have in the animation workshop, to go with her bandsaw and our other tools.
Perhaps our wives would like to exchange views on their respective chainsaws. Then again, perhaps not - they'd probably end up exchanging views on their respective spouses.

We're not fans of the chainsaw. Do our arboricultural exploits mainly with loppers, secateurs, pruning saw and bowsaw. At a push we will use a Scorpion reciprocating saw on particularly troublesome areas.

Silky Fox: awesome kit and parts can be sharpened / replaced so you don't have to replace the whole thing when it ages or breaks. Mind you, I have a few chainsaws too.

Those look sweet. We pass somewhere that stocks their kit occasionally but haven't been in. That will have to change.

I can never remember the names but they do one about 18" long that either hangs off your belt or straps to your calf. More importantly it locks in the sheath so if you're hanging in a tree it doesn't drop out and slice you on the way past. Their 3 pole saw is a Godsend and has a lopper attachment available. The folding Pocket Boy is handy to have in your pocket too.
