The compressor not stopping with the ignition off is a worry, perhaps you should check the relay and fuse box for signs/smells of burning.Well a new hissy fit!!
Came off the motorway,
the wading height light comes on,
The front goes up but not the back...
I pulled over, turned off the ignition completely only to hear the compressor running??
I had to unplug the compressor to stop it and sit and wait... Ten minutes later of turning on and off the ignition. The system settled down the height I wanted and the compressor ran as it should.
I then spent 2.5 hrs stuck in the Bordeaux traffic without any problems at all???.
The hissy fit may well have recorded a fault "valve stuck open", I suspect you either have a dodgy height sensor, bad connection to a sensor or the height settings are incorrect.
