That's why my fan mod is sucking through a small number of small holes - keeps the likelihood of dirt and water ingress down. And the externally mounted fan itself stops water that's accumulated on the EAS box lid from trickling into the holes. I wouldn't drill any holes over where the electronic trickery lives, my fan is there to suck the heat away from the compressor head instead of allowing it to heat the interior of the box.
 
Was looking at mine today and noticed theres plenty of space under the compressor on the eas box nearest to the wing to fit a fan and have it blowing through and out drill holes on the other side where the pipes come out
that way no problems with water ingress

That's a good idea, blow all the heat from the compressor onto the driver pack and valve block. Why does everyone want a complex answer when the simple one does the job:confused: Any fan system will pull in crap, look at even a bathroom extractor, always getting full.

That's why you have a fan that sucks!? it's only able to take out what's in the box to start with?

Bull****, where do you think the air comes from that the fan expels? Even with just holes, convection will draw in dust, the faster the airflow the more crap will be drawn in. With no holes in mine apart from the OEM slots at the side, the bottom of the EAS box was full of crap when I got my p38.
 
Ok, so maybe a pooftenth spot more dust or crap, certainly nothing that is going to cause any harm, and a small price to pay for a cooler environment for the driverpack to live in to provide EAS stability?

No, not small amounts, potentially lots more depending where you drive. If you fit fans, you need filters.
