Hi, my P38 has been stood for some months, due to new car and travel with work. Needed to move some kit at the weekend of course flat battery. Charged and refitted, rewarded with EAS fault then the bloody alarm went off. I input EKA code but for me the immobiliser seems to be still "active". Of course now EAS alarm is permanent and I can't get it to anyone with Diagnostics kit.

Is there anyone in the Aldershot area with the diagnostics on lap top and cable who has some minutes to spare. Her indoors is letting me know I should be looking to sell the Rangie..

Any clues advice other than obvious about her indoors (to be fair she is quality in the kitchen).

Key FOB not working? I suggest that you check the vehicle battery before anyone waste's their time coming to look, leave a battery flat for any length of time and it often does not recover. Low voltage is the source of many problems. If the battery voltage is good, 12.5 volts or more, try disconnecting the battery negative for a few minutes, re-connect in a quick clean movement to prevent any arcing.

Thanks, I will get the Fluke out later and check the battery out.
Key FOB works the central locking, but for some reason the Driver door lock appears not to open from the outside but when inside you can lock and unlock to your hearts content.
From the outside FOB will lock all doors but when unlocking does not unlock drivers side (this maybe occasionally as I have just remembered this symptom).

The drivers door lock may just come down to a clean and lubricate job.
If you have a Lap top, you could lash out on the cable & software for the EAS £11 plus P&P.

Sounds like a plan, how do I go about getting cable and SW. Have a suitable lap top...
