Following reading so many positive reviews on here it sold me on the idea of getting my Disco II reprogrammed. I called Mike at Dynachip on Monday and he arrived today to do his stuff.

I have to say, I was still a bit sceptical about any performance difference as we can all have a tendency to exaggerate. So my expectations were fairly low.

Well, just got back from second drive since the test drive. It is nothing short of incredible, feels like a totally different vehicle. Where before I would have to rev hard just to get some forward momentum, now it accelerates smoothly. Made the D2 an absolute joy to drive!

Anyone else thinking of getting this done, do it! You will not regret it.

Mine is an earlier 2001 so had non-programmable chip therefore cost was £250.00 to get a ready soldered ECU put in it's place. I believe it is £225.00 if you already have the later chip.

Mike also checked things like the injector balance and the MAF sensor, he also located an exhaust leak at the flexible join in the downpipe. So new decat downpipe ordered.

The £250 is well worth it IMHO and I am delighted with the results. Just took yet another drive this afternoon, real pleasure to drive now.

I spent £76 at Paddocks for the stainless steel version, although also decided to get new gasket and nuts/bolts along with a new exhaust mounting rubber. Figured I would rather have these parts and not need them than find I don't have them when I do need them.
