Good morning.
I have recently fitted a new auxillary battery to my Discovery. I now have two Exide Maxxima DC900's, one for starting and one for other stuff! The set up is controled by a National Luna split charging system.
Here's my problem, the dash display unit reads that im only charging at 13 volts. It drops to 12 volts when the alternator swithes to both batteries. On the battery it says that it requires a charging value of 14.4 volts.
Could my alternator be faulty, or is it just not up to the job. Its the standard disco 100A item.
Is it possible to get a more powerful alternator and if so where?
