Drop-down Tailgate - seals?

Hi all,
1985 90 Truck Cab, drop-down tailgate. Looking at the rear of the tub, it has two vertical upstands running close to the back edge, left and right sides that look as if they suit a rubber seal but I can't find any info anywhere about seals fitted to this area. It would make sense as with nothing there, it's a big gap between the closed tailgate and that feature. I'm tempted to just add some door seal rubber to it but I'd like to do it properly.

Any ideas chaps?

not sure if it would be the same as the drop down tailgate on the military defenders but they have three seals (bottom and both sides). Part No's are ALR4770 for the bottom seal, MTC4165 (superseded by CKE101111 or LR044312) LH seal and MTC4164 (superceded by CKE101101 or LR044311)
The original no's from the military parts catalogue and the other no from LRDirect.

As well as the bottom, and 2 side seals there is also 2 small buffers at the top.
