Driver Assistance Features Wont Turn On

Hi,

Just picked up my new (to me) 2020 L405 from a main dealer and all is great, apart from something odd regarding some of the extra features.

A number of them simply won't turn on. They show in the menu but when I try to enable them, they enable for maybe 1 second before sliding back to "off" again. There are no errors displayed, the options simply won't turn on. It's basically all the Driver Assist features (it's an Autobiography so are all fitted)

Lane Keep Assist
Lane Steering Assist
Driver Condition Monitor
Traffic Sign Recognition
Forward Alert
Emergency Braking

Before I contact the dealer, is there anything stupid that I'm missing that would prevent these turning on; or perhaps any odd mode the car might be in that's causing this?

The radar cruise control is working fine, so there can't be anything wrong with the radar sensor. I can't really think of anything else that would be in common with all the above things. Maybe a software issue?!
 
That usually happens when the forward facing camera is dirty / misted over or sometimes lost calibration. If they are silently turning off, with no warning on the dash, then there isn't a 'fault' as such, it's just the systems waiting for the camera view to become unobscured. The calibration can be lost if there has been a flat / low battery which if it's been sat on a dealers used car pitch, is a possibility.
 
Thanks Graculus - the dealer indeed did say it had a flat battery so it sounds like it could be a calibration issue.

Is there anything I can do to recalibrate, or is this a dealer-only fix (I have the GAP IID tool but can't seem to see anything relevant, but could be looking in the wrong place as some people are mentioning you can activate/deactivate some of these features via it)?
 
It's not (IMO) a case of 'managing', it's assistive technologies that should be functional but are not. A bit like having a radio receiver that should pick up DAB+but only picks up DAB or FM, it should work but doesn't, therefore it requires rectification.
I have 'Forward Alert' on my L405, most of the time when it kicks in the response is 'yes, yes, I know!' probably one in twenty or thirty times, it helps prevent sudden braking, and the 'ripple' of sudden braking behind. It's not like I would have piled into the car in front without it, but it makes for smoother driving 'in the event'.
It doesn't change the core functionality of the vehicle (or the radio receiver), it does enhance it and 'add value' though.
