Barn owl pair have moved in upstairs, screechin / hissing thier heads off, scared the crap out of me.... eaves are not closed in yet etc.
Staircase has a baord against it so dogs dont go up there, in fact no one has been up there in over a month.
Im delighted, she will be nice and safe and warms a toast up there,
will move one of the cctv cams to get a better look at her, pics to follow.
We get plenty of tawney owls, having a shouting match every night, but not many barn owls.
Looking fwd to owletts in the spring
Fist time i ever heard a barn owl screechin, it happend about 5 ft from my head in norfolk in the woods at night, i thought it was Nosferatu in person in a tree.......nearly soiled my undercrackers.

We have a barn owls in one of the sheds in the yard, fkn mess with poo. They feed on the pigeons as the silly billys
walk the green mile straight into the nest
Ive seen them out during the day too lovely looking things.Oh they can make some racket haha look forward to the pics.

Fitting a few lights.....will cut somefeather edge slices / mounts to fit behind to reduce the kick out but just could not be arsed today.

Side project music studio, fitted a steel security door, which was fooking heavy, me n my mate are off to chiropractors next week.Shoots multiple bolts on shut, top and bottom, and has hinge bolts.Thumb turn on inside as well for slip lock. vey pleased with it. Got some final fettling to do with the studio front elevation. Will be replacing my house doors with these as well.

SWA and consumer already fitted with TT rods (feed end still to be connected) so for now all on an extention reel, also got a Cat6 UG in there as well, so network ready. Using a Draytek WAP on reapter mode i now have Wifi in the garden and carport full strength! Noice
External is OSB, earth wool and plaster board, with vapour sheild.
Then I have build a stud room within a room so to speak, two stud walls fully insulated and PB on both sides, with a 50MM air gap between them. So three walls if you like. The rest will be sound absorbtion and deadending. I have two wooded fire doors back to back inside completing the 3 doors in the 3 skins.
Inital testing with drum kit and electrics guitar on full chat is perfect, muffled but not loud walk 50 feet away cant hear a thing!

Still on studio, swa wired into weatherproof junction on main house, under verandah to studio consumer which is also earthed by its own set of TT rods.

Replaced the small consumer that feeds the studio consumer. Was not happy with it at all.
Plus wanted to fit an external double socket.
Main house consumer full RCBO panel with TT earth rods feeding:
1) Double Garage Consumer
2) Carport Consumer
3) Rear of House External Mini Consumer (pic below) feeding In Studio Consumer Twin TT Rod Earths

Music Studio Inner wall ( second skin ) install to create the room withing a room 50mm gap between rooms me n me pal doing in evenings, rough n ready in. Will have Plaster sound board and accoustic absorbtion tiles eventually
