I find that the gears are going in smoother do have to think about it and listen to the engine and yes downshifts are more difficult to match.Good to know for when your 2nd gear synchro starts to go
The thing is you wont know if you are doing it right unless you drive a crash box as every change can be different depending on the circumstances, downshifts are the hardest.
you need to find the sweet spot in the rpms, and it will be smooth as silk. rev the nuts off it and it will revoltI am currently double de clutching in my new 6 speed defender. It is helping me to change gear smoothly whilst getting used to the new gearbox with the extra gear.
Or "keep searching for a gear, there's a whole box in there"!"Just keep stirring, you'll find one soon ... "
Can you go lo to high if you double de clutch? I changed once just normally and given the bang I've never tried it again
give the throttle a little touch (increase the revs) and you won't need to double clutchI double de clutch on down changes, just because it sounds nice! #powerhour
