Door Lock

Hi All,
my 03 td4 ,the lock button will not come up on the drivers door when using the key flob the other 3 doors are ok, so i have been using the key and this has gone tight i can't get the key in, now using the passenger door and climbing in to open the drivers door ,
Can any one HELP PLEASE ,

Sounds like your latch mechanism knackered. Its fairly easy to get at, remove door card and then you can unclip the 2 rods(1 from button and 1 from door handle) then 3 torq bolts on edge of door and the you can reach in and get the latch. I am guessing it has seized so a new one may be necessary, unless you are good with bits of wire and you may be able to add a maplins 5 wire central locking sevo to the latch. But you need to get the latch working to an extent first. i.e you need the latch to work enough to be able to lock and unlock it with the maplins servo. It is a bit of a fiddly job but £9 maplins verses £80 for a new latch.
