Land Rover Enthusiasts,

I have a 2003 Disco and have been modifying it for off-road treks. I recently purchased parts from Extrme 4x4 and wanted to warn you about using this company. Their parts are good quality, but their customer service is terrible. I was missing parts in my shipment and was told that "dispatch" confirmed the parts were there and I would have to repurchase them if I wanted them. I wrote the owner (Mr. Colin Digby) and he has not returned my e-mails. I highly recommend you NOT use Extreme 4x4 for any of your off-road parts. There are other companies out there with basically the same equipment.

I just wanted to share my experience with you so no one else gets burned by this company.

Have a great day,

You've signed up just to say that?

What parts are you missing? Indeed what have you actually ordered?

Did you check the parts when you signed for the delivery?

From a company perspective, it does get frustrating when some customers try and pull a fast one by saying that parts are not there when they've either been broken in fitment, or lost them themselves, or just want multiples of a certain part without paying for them.

Having said that, there are 2 sides to a coin, and I'm not saying you aren't genuinely missing parts. Which brings me back to the point of what you're missing, and did you sign for the delivery.

This is almost the antithesis of spam.

Have you signed up to slate a company perhaps because you are a competitor of theirs? Are we led to believe that you are a genuine caring individual whose sole aim here is to take time out to sign up to a forum of unknowns and offer yourself up on the altar of selflessness?

I fear not. Something is fishy here...

I know colin personally, he has helped me out with all my bits and he has never once let me down. You say the parts were missing, were they meant to be in 1 box or multiple boxes? Could it be the courier? Have you got the right e-mail address? Have you tried calling him and speaking to him? (number is 01255 411411 incase you need it). Colin is a very thorough worker, he is methodical in his processes, a bit too anal at times maybe but hes not the sort to **** up and then not rectify his mistakes, maybe you should speak to them and not shout off so easy?

Not to cause problems here but isnt extreme just scorpion with a new logo and name?

Ive heard all the bad things people have to say about srapiron blah bah blah, and how they closed without paying suppliers and customers etc etc.

I have never ordered from them myself so have nothing to say on it but, if the OP is a genuine aggrieved customer then he might want to look into it.

How many times have you seen posts saying 'don't use XXXX because...'?? I have heard it loads about Paddocks but I will still use them...

Every company makes mistakes, some make multiple mistakes with the same customer, a lot of the time the customers don't give companies the opportunity to rectify mistakes...

Im not saying Extreme are perfect but I personally have never had issues, admitidly I don't get stuff couriered as they are a few hundred yards down the road but like I say I have never had any issues....

If the OP hasn't spoken to them on the phone then that should be his next action and not coming on here, signing up and his first post being like this...

Wouldn't use scrapion nor extreme meself due to previous erm well nuff said but. first post slagging them off maybe its just a bit too sus for my liking
