hi all, I'm looking at getting a disco!

came across this and believe it to be a genuine bargain!

2001 Land Rover Discovery TD5 ES 7

Still waiting on further info but its has electric everything and all elecs are fully working.
It also looks emaculate
and only has 88k on the clock!
full leather interior etc etc
a couple of pics:

Now if i said it was available for £1800 ! would that be considered a bargain?

Remember D2's pretty much always have good bodywork and scrub up well, but as has been said, the chassis, mainly at the back is vulnerable to rot, so get down on those hands and knees...I'd have a good drive in it too, there's lots of mainly niggling things that can be wrong that would add up to get put right.

But everything being equal, could be a bargain.

Remember if its to good to be true it usually is.

I would be going over it with a fine tooth comb and then some before parting with any cash,

Might be worth hooking it up to a code reader as well

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE !!.

That car is WAAAAY to cheap !.

That age with that milage should be getting on for double the price.

I would be exrtremely carefull if I were you.

It goes against the grain when buying a vehicle, but sometimes you just have to ask the seller "why is it so cheap?"

It does look very nice but is also very cheap if it's a straight car! You could easily double your money.........or spend the same again in repairs if you're not careful!

toooo cheap, i would be very dubious at that price, check everything then check again! HPI check, vosa mot history, rac/AA check, at that price even if verything is ok, £50.00 in costs to look it over, still a bargain

Very cheap, I paid £4500 for my 2001 ES with 95k on last year! and i am still spending cash on it. It's a disco so to be expected.

I Paid £900 for my V8 ES manual, excellent condition but had a knackered front diff which was easily sorted, there are bargains out there but eyes wide open !
