Land Rover Defender 25yr US Exportable 300tdi Galvanised Chassis LHD | eBay

Claims to be a fully rebuilt 300tdi converted to LHD and registered in 1986 so suitable for export. It's either a ringer or deffo not suitablke for export to the states. Because you can't export a modofied landy to the states it has to be original and engine suspension etc has to match what was on it when it was first manufactured.

to be honest there are several the same on ebay..... all 200 / 300 conversions from various companies for '25 year export', can't see its illegal or they wouldnt all be blatantly advertising and showing good feedback??

to be honest i looked at one £35,000 immaculate rebuild on galvd chassis, and i'm amazed it got an mot...... looked as though the rear brake lines had been made and fitted by a 5 year old.....

take a look at the rear axle pic..... brake pipe bodged to the anti roll bar bracket and flapping around.... crap...

US Import rules are pretty strict vehicle has to be at least 25 years old and of original build spec. and US custom will get the spec sheet off LR if they think peeps are trying to pull a swift one.

If it's got a noo chassis and different engine then it probably ought to have a Q plate anyway.

Looks like a plated and then galvanized chassis. Unless its incredibly well cleaned inside have heard rots from the inside out. And it you've gone to all that trouble why wouldn't you paint the bulkhead to match before refitting it.
