Most of us can relate to thisI would still have one even though mines been off the road than on (and that's not off road) I would love another one as a project but still haven't got the money due to the first one.

sellers of cheap unusable partsSpam
Nowt wrong with my 1.8 - runs sweet as a nut, thankstoo early to say as I have only had my 2nd one a few months.
Had a 1.8 K Series in the 'Naughties' nice drive but a s**t engine totally wrong for the vehicle. (been better off with an old 1.8 A Series!! from a MGB GT! lack of puff but would still keep going?)
Now got a TD4 3 Door, decent lump, like the retro feel, great design (but being British, the engineering sometimes lets them down?) Low 5th Gearing, shouting out for 6th Gear?
But overall good, but it does depend on the particular car, get a bad one and they are aweful, a good one its a gem.
Upside very cheap parts and servicing, stylish mid sized off-roader, down side? crashy ride, body roll, can be noisy, tyre roar? Made in England
I had a Hyundai Sante Fe CRDI 52 plate, bigger, tad quicker, smoother, quieter, more refined, more reliable? time will tell, probably - but a tad boring and expensive on parts? schools out at the moment....
But the Freelander has STYLE - love the Land Rover Brand (its British after all) .... the Sante Fe..... ummmmm let see.....
I love my V6, especially now I've got most of the problems sorted.
140k now and going strong
For future reference, the biggest problem with the V6 is bad advisers, especially the ones who assume everything is due to HGF.
