Thanks for all the replies. Nick especially - glad you got one to mate! Vibration Damper was my best reply from the Taysec guys here too (road building guys) who have a fleet of 200 Defenders... which keeps em pretty damn busy! Driving is not a strong suit here for many people...

... Anyways, also found out that one of the blokes at Taysec - Welsh bugger called Handel if you must know (NOT from Swindon though) - invented the bracket that protects the track rod in the middle. Apparently, he made it to use on his fleet of Landys and happened to mention it to LR one day... well there you go. Totally useless bol locks info for you all.
