When in the RRC I tend to give a nod, wave or flash to other RRC/Disco/Defender/Series drivers, because they tend to be owned by enthusiasts and give a wave back.

Never given or received a wave/nod/flash from P38 or L322 drivers, but then often they're just like any other car to the owners - I would return a nod/flash/wave if another RR owner initiated one, though! :D

When I had my Honda S2000 all the owners used to give a wave or thumbs up, usually looking pleased that they'd come round the previous bend without ending up in a hedge/tree/lampost!! :D:D

When on the bike, I give a nod to other bikers - if there's a group then I just nod to the first one of the group, otherwise you'd get repetitive strain injury!!

All our cars seem to fall into the enthusiast sector so we tend to spend quite a lot of time waving on trips.
Scooby lot tend to be the most enthusiastic. Have to say fellow classic owners in wilts can be a rather dour lot!
If I saw another 21 on the road and I didn't know who it was I think I'd stop and talk to them there and then! Its not a common occurance.

As has been said i think it depends if its an enthusiast or someone who bought it cheap to tow a caravan!

Iv had my P38 for 2 months now, and waved at the first few P38s, never bother with newer ones because they dont notice anybody else, and i often wave at Series as my brother has a defender and knows most of the local ones :D

Round the black country , I generally get a wave from fellow RRC owners but I have never had a wave/flash/nod from any P38 or newer in the 3 years I have been running my RRC . I think there are just too many of the newer stuff round here , whereas I see only one or two classics a week whilst I am commuting 22 miles a day.

I've tried waving at a variety of Land Rover vehicles since I've got my RRC, but have felt a bit of a spanner as not one has waved back. Maybe it's an Edinburgh thing.

When I had my Alfa 147 GTA I got loads of waves, light flashes and thumbs up from other Alfas, and also from other Italian cars like Ferraris and Lambos. Subaru driver's too. That was a great car.

One of my best memories was getting a thumbs up from a then just out Ferrari F430 driver whilst sat at traffic lights on a warm summer's evening [on a private road]. We both floored it away from the lights - a great memory.

My dad used to wave all the time when I was a kid, and if anyone broke down the drivers of the same car would stop and help you....... He used to drive a 3 wheeler Reliant, it was just like an extended family :)
Ahhh, those where the days and we left the front door open

Surely driving with the door open could end up with you and your family falling out?
