whats the best thing to clean it with gav? oh and have you seen my other post bout the blown head gasket picture above!!
would this cause the white sludge effect and if so how as the blow does not seem to be near the water i think?

and this blow would cause the tell tail sign of white sludge in oil cap/oil yeah?? how doesint seem like blow is near water?? im just thinking maybe theres something else too???

whats other side like?

the water/oil could have mixed through the gasket, i.e passing because gasket is on its last legs???

make sure you torque em down correctly and check the deck for flatness with a good straight edge and feeler guage, esp. around where it blew!

i have bought a new haead gasket kit comes with new ead gaskets, bolts, exhaust gaskets all seals and so on and im phoning around in morning to see bout getting them skimmed,
and the other side seemed fine gasket intact and not really any marks hoping to get back together tuesday/wednesday depending on the skimming time and prices!!

Just take your time rebuilding it with it being your 1st time, mistakes can be costly...let us know when its up and running :)

dont worry i will be doing as carefull as you have never seen lol
so engine flush once back together check oil level dip!! if ok stick engine flush in oil that i bought and run for 5-10 mins then drain all oil out and renew yes? got new castrol today for it

never thought of that dooh ill try get one tomorrow somewhere any one do or best with certain type?

fram are good filters, any way this is the torque stuff:

you tighten the bolts starting with the two centre then in x's i.e left of centre two top, and right bottom, left bottom, right top, then next larger x (next door but one to centres!)

tighten all to 15 ft lbs, then mark them with tippex at 12 o'clock, same sequence move em all 15 minutes or 90 degs, then another 15 mins, then all the tippex should be at 6 o'clock or next to exhaust manifolds!!!

also forgot to mention, you need to squeeze tappets(hydraulic lifters) up in a vice to purge them, take em one by one and place a suitable socket in the centre, avoid the little wire spring and just tighten vice!!!
