I am just after some advice.I have recently bought a discovery 2 auto, and want to lift it 2 inches and put 33"tyres on it.Now i dont know whether to do it to this one or buy a manual one.I know it wont be as quick etc but want a bigger one than my last 300tdi with 265/75s on.
Please help I dont know what to do......

it seems you have money to burn why not have one of each

If its best to buy a manual,i will sell the one I got,and buy another.wont be able to keep two.Just not sure whether the auto or manual is best with bigger tyres.will the auto box keep changing up and down?

What do you intend to use the Disco for? 33" tyres are very big.
got 35" on mine:p:)

wow I like that alot.thats just how i want mine to look like:).do they rub at all.what did you have to do to get them to fit.I was hping of a 2" suspension lift, bigger arches and cuting inner ones away.is yours a manual or auto?? I will be using it offroad as it is a 4x4,but not very often.only work a few miles away too.

yes they do rub on articulation but im fitting a body lift soon to cut down on the amount of rubbing,2" lift and different arches, its a manual

i have driven a diesal auto and found it very low on power,my advice autos are best suited to v8s and bigger doozil engines

do you still have arbs fitted.I was going to remove my ACE and put the stiffest arbs I could get.that would stop articulation a little.I would prob be o.k with 33" tyres on what you have done.I wanted auto as I really didnt want to be changing clutches on it,as i have done on my previous discovery and defender 300tdi.I didnt think it was a nice job, lol.thanks for your help...

if you are going to get stiffer arbs to stop articulation why not just get a lowered saxo?

LOL i already have a evo 8 for on the road.I want it to be stiff so the tyres dont rub:rolleyes:.How do the icelandic trucks do it??they got masive wheels and not much clearance.I used to have a defender 300tdi which was fully kitted up with dislocation suspension longer arms etc and my mate with a standard defender went over more or less everything i did.Mine was only slightly better due to the 35 creepy crawlers.

evo? yuck... I have a classic impreza :D much better lol...

just get a lift kit so the tyres dont rub, if you are going to keep the arb's then you going to lose on articulation.

unless you dont want the articulation and just want to fit the big tyres as they look good?
