Discreet winch mounting

My winch will be arriving shortly and i'm looking into mounting positions.

I want it hidden as much as possible really. Ive found this...

DISCOVERY 1 and 2 DISCREET WINCH MOUNT | eBay

But i really wanted it behind the metal part of the bumper. Has anyone done this? If so, any hints/tips?

Thanks for the linky..... The thread comes up on several searches now lol....

The winch install has worked really well and it's also protected the radiator from below so loose branches etc just can't get to it.

The bumper has worked well too and is very strong. In real world. Terms it's stronger than any hd item I could have purchased and a damn sight cheaper too.

Between yours and the warn thread I'm pretty confident in ow I'm gonna approach this. I am keeping the standard bumper and am going to make the numberplate holder part of the bumper detachable to keep the oem look which I want to stick with.
