When slowing down from speed (50 ish to crawling speeds) as I aproach junctions or islands my Disco feels like its limping. I can see if i watch the front edge of the bonnet that the car is leaning over in time with the limp as if one of the wheels were cam shaped.(think kids toy cars)

I've checked bushes and Panard rod bushes seem to be suspect but has anyone had a similar experience? Only ask as it doesn't seem normal - I'd expect knoking and possibly odd steering but the limping seems weird.

I'd start at dampers and bushes ... making sure the tyres are pumped up first .. ;)

I changed Panhard rod bushes yesterday as they were completly knackered. Cost just over £7 for new bushes bolts and nuts and swapped em over on the drive in under an hour.

It has made a massive improvement and the front end feels so much more precise, but the limping is still there :(

I'm going to order a complete set of Poly bushes and change every one on thecar in the hope that'll cure it and if not it'll be a good excuse for new (+2") Springs and shocks. Any recomendations? Which ones are good bad etc??

check your tyres by jacking up and spin the wheel I had a tyre go egg shaped and it really made the pickup it was on bounce.

UPDATE

Took the old gal to tyre fitters today to get wheels balanced and they're well out of shape :O

Not some thing you can see just jacking up and spinning on the vehicle but spun up on a wheel balancer and they're well out. They arent round and where you expect the tread to be flat across it's width there is a step or shoulder running all the way around the tyres circumfrence.

Question is what causes otherwise good tyres to deform? They haven't been heavily off roaded, bumped up gutters or run at low pressure. They are only budget tyres (Runway enduro AT's) I'm especially annoyed as they all have good tread on and now it looks like replacing all four as I can't trust the brand any more.

It might well be not had it checked yet as I'll live with it till i get some new tyres. I also noticed whilst it was jacked up play in the front wheel bearings so I've gone and got 4 wheel bearing kits to change over tomorrow, I thought it better to do em all as they're probly all samme age condition.......

Totally agree I'm gonna change all the bushes for poly's first though and give all the TRE's a good check and replace if needed that way I only have to get it tracked once ;)
