Thanks for your help will get a⁶p200 and see were we are with the codes
Ur so welcome and as always a team effort , good few of us now own D3’s so can walk u through it , lol, regarding the disco left on my drive with a note
if ur handy with a multimeter these few tests can tell us alot before u get ur tester
1) with the engine off, multimeter set to Vdc , see what the battery readings are
2 ) ohms canbus test
test procedure
With both battery leads disconnected from the battery posts
Multimeter set to ohms, ( TP Is just short for test probe from ur multimeter)
TP to pin 6 other TP to pin 14 , read ohms
TP to pin 3 other TP to pin 11, read ohms
then do a hard reset
once you have it to see what codes are present , indeed best to write / print out the first error codes, clear them , then rescan
plse let us know how ur get on, plus that reader whilst basic can program new keys so even that is well worth it k considering the main dealer would want around £280 , personally cost me totally £60 after buying a new key off eBay , then got the blank cut for £10
As a side note many of us own another scanner called a gap iid , unfortunately are expensive but they will do virtually everything a garage scanner can do , think there now around £500 , but as basic that Autel will at least allow u ti get the fault codes as that will then allow us a direction to go on
ref ur radio error , is it the 6 x CD one and does the head unit turn on or completely blank plse , thks
wiring for radios, page 140 , showing fuses that are also in the system , after pressing the link, press download to enlarge the diagrams
Also so nice when help is appreciated , ur be surprised where people don’t say plse or thk u
