In need of help, new to landrovers! I have a fault that’s come up UO416.00
Can anyone help with this?
Local garage cleared faults yesterday, on his computer this stayed on as a temporary fault. Today after driving 20 mile I had the same warning lights come on, transmission fault, park brake fault & lowered suspension.

So did you have those warnings on then a garage just simply cleared codes without troubleshooting and fixing anything? Important is what faults were cleared cos if the root of them was not fixed those codes came back now hence the same warnings. Clearig codes doesnt fix a problem, the garage should have troubleshot and fixed it untill that code was eraseable, as long as the U0416 didnt clear means that the fault was still there:
from the WSM: U0416-00 = Invalid Data Received From Vehicle Dynamics Control Module - Check the Vehicle Dynamics Control Module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index to fix the faults

Hi, thanks for the reply. the garage erased all faults that was in the computer which left the car with this temporary fault on his screen.
where do I start? Sorry to seem dumb, never had a discovery before or had this problem

Have you googled the code?
Loads of info out there, but the thing to bare in mind is you really need your own code reader.
Icarsoft do a couple for approx 100 quid, IID is the best but that is 400 quid.

Has the car been wet inside? drinks spilled on the centre console?

So that garage is to be avoided then.
Rule No1, is never clear codes, as they're useful for helping identify potential problems which might start as a minor issue, before developing into something more serious, a kind of electronic history if you like. Clearing codes, simply makes subsequent fault finding more difficult.

All modern vehicles are like this, not just the D3, although it is a very complex vehicle electronically.

Get your own code reader, and save getting a garage to just clear codes.
