Doubt if he has done as many as I have. It is not always easy to align them, especially if you don't have an alignment tool. Or can't use one, because there is no spigot bearing.
If he has done loads doesn't he have any ideas?
What you should see is the pushrod going forward a short distance, and moving the clutch fork forward the same distance.
You may have to push a boot to one side but you should be able to see whether the slave is actually actuating the clutch fork or not.
Well you are both getting there. It could possibly be a prob where the clutch fork locates in its fulcrum point or the fork may have bent or fractured.
If you remove it, you can't see it is working.
Another thing. What make of clutch kit did you use, and what fork and slave cylinder?
