Hmmmmm, sides? have you kept the rear quarter panels? I must go to sleep, it has been a long night shift and I can't wait to see what sides you mean, hope you didn't just mean the front wings lol :)

Very nice build mate. I am building a trayback, i'm about a year in to the project, the body is still off the chassis. I Like the way you built the back end of the cab. I built a frame using 25 x 50mm box then fixed the sheet steel to that. i have used a sliding window from an LDV convoy minibus, but it will be obscured by the radiator like you say unless i can mount it lower. I dont know how to add photos so i can't show you my progress but you are an inspiration to finish mine.

wow looks really good so far! i like how you did the back.. wish i had done that 1st off, rather than after the panel was on!

Now its getting a bit warmer I think its a good time to start up the build again.... got a few things I want to diy... one being an x break. I worked out the math. A rear caliper from a large estate car will have enough breaking power to keep it still once you account for the gearing down from the diffs and up from the wheels.
Another is my own take on the x spring. As I have room under the tray I thought about a double spring setup at the rear. So one spring stacked on top of the other joined.. (probably welded not sure yet) so it would give the same spring rare... but twice the travel. Also maybe some kind of height adjustable spring seat like a coilover.
Cranked arms like Mr GreenHornet, some standard steering arms sleeved to make them super strong.

Oh and im planning on going with a set of 15 inch travel shocks.. the +5 shocks have about 12 inch travel. . And I need some extended break lines, can anyone suggest some that would be suitable?
