hi,can anyone help me with a locking problem on my discovery 3 hse,it will lock and unlock on the dash buttons but nothing with the remotes.i have run a check with a snap on modus and have found no faults.could it be the receiver - are they prone to failure-it so where is it?

no all fobs failed at the same time...there is 1 spooky thing i didn't mention when it failed i was at my sons football match which has low power lines overhead.if the grass is damp most parents get an electric shock.when i left the car i locked it on the remote as usual,after the match it would not work and hasn't since
