Disco 2 very heavy clutch is it normal?

Hi, I've had my 03 reg disco2 TD5 for about 6 months now, and the clutch is very heavy to operate and seems to want to push my leg back up through the steering wheel. I've replaced the master and slave cylinders with OEM parts from Paddock and thouroughly bled the system, are the clutches on the Disco2's normally this heavy or do I have a problem??

I wouldn't say they are that heavy but they are heavier than most ordinary saloon cars. What sort of car are you used to? I switched from an old Shogun to a Frontera, 2 x Disco I's and now a Disco II TD5 and they all felt more or less the same. the girlfriends Hyundai I30 is however much lighter.
I would see if you can find another TD5 and try it by way of a comparison.
I think there are heavy duty clutches around so you may have one of those fitted.
