I've redone the blink test and the code comes back again to the OSF sensor gap. The sensor (replaced last year) just won't sit fully down. I can't measure it but I'd say I can feel a 3mm gap under the head of the sensor. I had my magnet inside the hole in case anything had dropped inside but nothing came out.

Tomorrow the plan is to remove the wheel so I can see inside. I'll also swap sensors L to R.

Anybody else had anything like this? Any pointers greatfully appreciated as my MOT is sneaking up on the horizon.

My abs light come on and off and like you done the blink test and says a air gap , I just keep knocking the sensor back down. I have been told that if I take a shim out it would solve the problem . Did you manage to sort the problem

Check wheel bearing play then put brakes on (piece of wood between pedal and seat) and check for swivel hub play or it could be the bush that holds the abs sensor has worn.i have the same problem done all above going to change the bearing inside the stub axle next and check the cv for wear.pulled the fuse and removed the warning bulb on mine as too deadly to drive with the abs coming on at low speed.

Not sorted this yet, even with another new sensor. Wheel bearings and swivel bearings done in the last few thousand miles. CV not changed though. The good news is that it's booked in for a steering pump on Monday so I've added this to the list.

Sorted!

Yesterday the sensor wouldn't sit fully home so I thought the problem was still there. Today, when I actually drove it, the light went out! Success - but for how long!
