diff lock wont engage

Hi guys its a 1998 disco 300tdi you are just supposed to push the littlt gear stick to the left to engage the diff lock but nowt happens.
The little gear stick just does not go to the left am i doing summat wrong or owt .
I really need help with this one guys thanks

No it goes in to high and low box ok but not across .

broken , stuck linkage, by the sounds of it

have yer had it to bits?

But to cheek for sure if its in try jacking up one wheel and driving off the jack. when diff lock is in it will pull away. otherwise it will spin on the central diff.

Diff lock not in as it corners great .
Not had it to bits yet as i have only had it a week so dont know the history of the disco the diff lock may never of been used before for all i know and maybe just siezed up.

yeah possable, might just need workin in, yer wont tell if its in by the cornering

it works on the gearbox diff between both props
