Hey
i engaged my diff lock yesturday to go through some deep mud, but could not dis-engage it afterwards,
it's a 76 rangie with the 4 speed box with a fairly overdrive.
i've tried rocking it out, going forward a reversing and a bit of brute force but the thing wont shift.
any idea's i can try folks

ok..it dont have a lever...a knob it has..

if you mean under the car then check for vacum leaks..clean and lubricate..you should be able to move it with hand, its just a lever operating a dog that moves a sliding locking ring on the center diff output..you can reove whole assembly from under car without removing box...

this assumes you have lt95 gearbox..

lock is as said vacuum operated ,pipes can e poor and diaphragm often get holed in actuator you can use air line on rear most pipe to actuator to low it back ,or remove 4 x screw and pull selector forward by hand for the moment

ok got it sorted,
tried everything except taking it apart.
it finally came out after i reversed up hill.
job done.
thanks for all the help though guys, maybe it'll help out the next person.
