Do that regularly. Dark when I go to work and dark when I get back. Perfect for UV torch. I can see the air-con pump has leaked a lot!

Yes, got to going somewhere. My feeling is the exhaust gases would kill the dye.
That's why I suggested the sniff kit, you'll know quite quickly with a warm engine if there is any present in the coolant. Come on, you know this🤷🤪

Even if it leaks and then travels to fall to the floor at another point on the vehicle ...

Check heater hoses not only in the cabin also ...

Couldn't see anything in the cabin. I replaced the heater matrix about 3 years ago.

Now I think about it, most parts have been replaced at one time or another...

What about pressurising the header tank with a modified bottle top?
At 10 miles a litre it has to be quite obvious if you look in the right place; drop the exhaust manifold off ;)

Playing spot the weeping core plug ...
Exactly, plus with the manifold removed a crack into the exhaust port or around the seats should be fairly obvious if the system is pressurised.

Many years ago I had a proper testing kit with various radiator caps and a balloon like hand pump.
Go steady on the pressure and don't exceed the cap rating to avoid damage.

Should be available in a decent autoparts place ... or B&Q on-line

I've got a pump type, need a new cap adapter for it but don't know what the connector size is :(

Mines similar to a compressor air line push fit
