Diesel Leak from Timing Case

Gonna have a go with the Dial later.
Right so before I start should I put it back to where it was when it came back from Diesel Guy, ie Heavy Smoking and hard to start , then check first from there.?
Or leave it where it is now after altering it to Run Properly ?
I am doing this in Situ.

you are going to have to do it in its new running position, but you will need to find the dwell point and set the Dial indicator at zero. When at 1.54mm on the pump plunger the flywheel ( assuming you have all the covers back on) should be visible in the wading plug.

Cheers

if pumps not far away at the moment which it shouldnt be as its running reasonable, you need to set pump and move the the flange so it corresponds with the slot, then refit belt etc

Right finally got it set up, Everything fitted back on, Cover Alt Belt ect.
Followed the Vid and took Injectors off to fit Dial in, Got it Zeroed with Flywheel Pin in place, was expecting it to be way out but its just about Bang On the Money.
Pleased with That.
Now can I leave it at that as really aint got time to start taking pump back off and Pulling front off to set all up again. If its really Necessary to do all that then I will, but hope I can leave it as is and sort it on the next belt change. Trying to upload more pics and Video, Laptops Playing up

Did you pull the pump pulley off and realign or check the size of the drill required for timing?

Cheers

Hit 154 First Time and every time after, Listen for Click when Pin drops in Flywheel, the other clicks are from Ratchet. Slot there when Pin removed.

Dam never tried one, but the 9.5 from kit obviously didn't after I moved it.

OK, was only a question so you would know what to check it agianst in future if needed, But as you say, you would remove the pump if you ever need to do the belt again, then you could do it then.

Cheers

Thanks Next Belt Change it will be Pump off and everything done by the Book, Just this time has me really stressed out with it all, Been on 2 and a half years now, seems to be one step forward and two back, hope nothing else major goes wrong.

why pump off its just a matter of adjusting the flange

seems a shame not to since this was your issue, leave pump in situ but it means belt off
Youre right Mate it Is a Shame, I've tried to do things right on this rebuild, but sometimes you have to cut corners, especially with what's happening at the moment. Never Mind we are nearly through it.
as Long as I know it will work this way then it'll do for me.:)
