After a short drive I noticed the fuel line above my filter is leaking at the connection to the bolt. Can I cut it of, remove the leaking piece and press it back on the bolt again? Or is this a special type of connection and do I need a new fuel line? Would like to know before I start cutting.

If there is enough length then cut and refit is possible, however the pipe is very hard material and needs to be heated to soften before it will go on the banjo.
You could try boiling water but I use a lighter,to much heat though and it melts.

Its just a push over fit, might be worth swapping the line completely to see through type, but long as you got the length its fine so long as it stays a tight fit when you replace it and tot says may need some encouraging, I changed mine to hoses and put clamps on for easier chopping and changing :)

Part number 564905 if you're interested. Bit pricey though...£31.26 at Craddock's

Thanks.

Repairing did'nt work. I was hard to get the banjo in the tube again. Heating it helpt but i was not happy with the connection. I ended up replacing the whole tube for a clear one.

I do hate those plastic fuel lines. All the systems Ive done have been in 8mm fuel hose connected with jubilees

But yes, if you have enough slack in the pipe you can pull it off cut it and refit it with no issues whatsoever
