P38A Diesel Engine Oil Leak

I am not a mechanic so how am I supposed to know which was as you say 'The first one with the diesel in it' no? I ask a simple question get ridiculed for it, pathetic.
 
In all fairness he gave you the correct answer in post #2 lol. I thought you were winding him up. If you take a look at your vehicle you will understand.

Two jubilee clips take the big plastic tube across top off (mind the 2 clips holding it in), 3bolts take plastic covers off and have a look - shine a torch at the injectors you will understand when you see it.

You don't need to strip it down like this but just zoom in and take a look at mine.
Inj1 is closest in photo. Injectors are the metal things sunk between the bits filled with paper. They all have a metal pipe going to the top of them. See the black pipes looping between them - they are your spill pipes and most likely your problem.

Thanks a picture tells a story to someone who is not a mechanic and is asking a simple question and who has not taken any covers off the engine. Will have a look the weekend and provide an update. In fairness I am not a mechanic, 1st time owner, genuine user so why would I wind someone up it is pathetic, we are grown men.

It is advisable if you do not even know which is number one cylinder, that you do not start stripping things off the engine until you have done some reading up. Or get someone who knows what they are doing to point you in the right direction. Anyone who does not know which cylinder is number one should not be contemplating removing anything until they know what they are doing. Sorry but i find it inconceivable that someone does not know which is number one. Number one is first cylinder back from rad. Firing order is 1 5 3 6 2 4. If you don't know what you are doing don't do it. My days of training apprentices are over.
 
You can't see what Wammers is saying in the photo. You've taken it the wrong way.
All injector areas have drop to them so can't hold anything, no1 is ONLY one capable of holding anything in the well and looks substantially different to others in that respect - so you will tell if you see it. He told you this in much simpler terms than I but you didn't pay attention

I'm not a mechanic or horologist either. I didn't have a clue few months ago (and still don't in many ways) but I'm trying.

I've had my fair share of p**s taken that's just fair game.

I like reading and will offer help to anyone trying BECAUSE of the time and consideration I was shown by members such as Wammers, datatek, Grrr, lord hippo etc.

A grown man is not afraid to say sorry ;)
 
Let's get one thing straight, fair enough a comment was made, I didn't understand so I asked for clarification and misunderstanding I then get told am I on a wind up.

Not fair to be honest seems to be all against one.

I apologise but expect a apology for a sarcastic response to a simple clarification to a lay-person about range rovers.

Think again, listen and learn or bugger off. You have a problem get over yourself. What is difficult to understand about the ONLY injector that has a well and can hold fluid is number one?
 
End of the day I appreciate all the help so I will do some investigating the weekend hopefully it is a diesel leak and will provide an update. Cheers.

Shut it enry lar!! Mine doesn't leak at all and I'm very proud of it....but I'll be fúnked if there's any oil in it!!!:eek::p
