Front big brake conversion is on and finished,
The rear disc conversion is figured out, hopefully on next week,
2" lift and camber bolts on front so far,
18" rims with 255/55/18 insa turbo tyres,
Face lift fitted,
Leather trims fitted to spruce it up a bit,
Figured out how to fit subaru seats, mabe next week,
Egr delete done
Boost gauge fitted
SDI injectors and bleed valve waiting to go on still,
I got a cup holder
Got black badges and stainless fixings for lights
Swapped tailgate and painted it metallic black
Been busy
 
What brakes did you use for the front conversation DD.
I'm looking at getting another Freelander and fancy brakes closer to those on my D3.
Nice work so far.
 
Discs are off a Chrysler 300c. Lots of sizes for them. I've had to use spigot rings in them but can't see it being a problem. Calipers are hispec four pots. Front brackets were fairly easy to make. Used 10mm steel angle. Not racing spec but it's a freelander. Fronts all in owe me about £150

Rear caliper bracket finally figured out I hope. Off to coded welder friend tomorrow to get it finished. Being brakes I want it right. If this prototype works I'll do the other side then its handbrake cables to find.
 
Personally, I'd swap the wheels+nudge bar (the rubber ones look a bit... naff, IMO)
After that, get yourself a 2kOhm variable resistor, some SDi injectors, and a turbo from a Rover 25/45/MGZR/MGZS (swap the turbine housings over, so it'll fit the hippo)
Will have you floating up around the 140-150Bhp mark, for minimal effort :)

Can anyone tell me where to fit the 2kOhm variable resistor ?
