Did my RRC used to be a V8?

The reason I ask, is that when I bought the vehicle (at the time a 200tdi), the following was discovered:

Air condition pipes capped off in the engine bay near fuel pump (air con unit in the passenger side dash/footwell.

WABCO ABS ECU NTC 8474 was also found within the vehicle (from the research I have done, these were only fitted in V8's?)

Also the 200tdi engine fitted was a recon unit, with Recon94 stamped into it where the engine number should be.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

:)

Ah...tht's the problem. She's been scrapped, so have no record of VIN or anything.

I just want to know the history of the engine, thts all...

Hmm...I have no documents for the car whatsoever...can't for the life of me remember the reg no :( . Thanks anyway.

Think I'll just have to assume.

It has been!!!!

Had that many Land Rovers recently I have been flitting from one part of the site to another and then back again :D

Just got myself a 4.0 P38 and had it for a month and love it! Already planning what to get next though, definately will be another P38.

I seem to be the only person who does not have a major problem with it.

Its gunna happen now aint it!
