Wonderful, on bulb failure and the whole electronics system is fecked. Time to burn it.
Sounds like an expensive blow job...

Or if it was a high voltage spike from the HIDeous igniter it could be all of them. This isn't an article I want to be reading while thumbing through L322 classifieds. Best of luck hunting down the culprit gents. No doubt it'll be the most awkward bastard of an ECU to access when you find out what is kicking off.
This is a scenario I don't want to think about!!Or if it was a high voltage spike from the HIDeous igniter it could be all of them.
'...Your problem sounds more difficult than usual....'
One day you come to agree with me Ant, the L322 is a HOS.This is a scenario I don't want to think about!!
The legend that is Storey Wilson has emailed back stating this is a tricky one....
I hope he won't mind me quoting his email:
All I can do is try!

It would help, personally I'd retro fit proper tungsten filament headlights. If that's the case then what a terrible design!
I wonder if putting some inversed-series 18-20v zener diodes across the load or a proper transorb diode on the power supply to the HID igniters could stop any future reverse spikes? I suspect Datatek is the man to tell me I'm talking out of my arse here!

If I manage to get to the bottom of this, I may just think about this....but it could be a minefield to retrofit....will have to research further.
Tungsten filament headlights were fitted as standard on some L322's one of my mates cars has them, so shouldn't be difficult apart from telling the BCU.If I manage to get to the bottom of this, I may just think about this....but it could be a minefield to retrofit....will have to research further.
