Had mine off a few times, I recommend something like these for getting at the top bolts where the wing meets the bulkhead

I got a td5 bumper with end caps for £25 off ebay also allow for new fixings as my bolts were rusted solid and I had to cut them off:(

Although as yours is a fair bit newer than mine hopefully your chassis will also be a better state then what awaited me

The bumper is proper bent and where it bolts to the chassis one bold has sheered of and the other has just moved with the bumper and bent the chassis slightly. I though defenders were meant to be bomb proof, obviously not.
 
Also all the lights are working but there's a random plug not plugged into anything, I can't see where it is supposed to go.
 
Fitted my new led's, bloody expensive, only problem is drivers side rear indicator is not working the plug looks slightly mangled, but there is power getting to it but it's not lighting the light, and the light does defenetly work, it's so annoying, I think it's just not connecting to the points very well.

I had problems before with this one I just kept fiddling and it worked eventually. Ffs

I have been debating getting some for ages but the price put me off, so when I smashed one of the indicator lenses I though, why not upgrade now, instead of spending a few pounds on a cover, just get the whole lot for only £100 extra. I think this is why I have no money!

Three quid bit of plastic or all new led lights, no brainer[emoji3] . Just don't tell the wife

You could try swapping the wires over if you can get them out of the multiplug. One of my rear lights was a different polarity to all the others, and LEDs are polarity sensitive.
