OK, curently maxing my credit card on security for my 90.

on an asdide, decided to name a vehicle for the first time in my life, ever, She's called Lucy. Is that Gay?

Anyway, got a disklock, driveway post in the mail.

Question is: what happened to window etching. When I was a lad, they was standard kit. Spent an hour on't tinterweb and only the yanks seem to still be keen? What gives?

Them mech locks are exellent, and really difficult to bypass without towing the landy away, but they are stupidly expensive!!!

****ing how much:doh: sod that

i see your point but then again the price is relitive. what you'll lose on a insurance claim, loss of no claims and premium hikes, time looking for a new one, cost of fuel to veiw another car, then theres getting the parts back one the car new off road tyres, new spot light, new rocksliders etc

not to mention sentimental value - all them scraped knuckles, cuts and bruises you and your landy have shared!!

p.s. This weekend, installing a security bollard infront of my parking space at my appartment block (forgive the americanism), just realised, ****ing useless is neighboring cars have gone out for the day:doh:

still there are cheaper ways, such as £60 pedal shield etc etc.
And no protection against hiab. Sure there are cheaper options

there's another way of stoping the clutch pedal from moving, by using a motorbike padlock..and fit through the clutch pedal.

there's some which are long, used to get through the bike disc brakes..

I had seen them Meck locks this weekend, I like the Italians take on fitting them to the brakes! Lol nowt like a heart attack.

I am sure it could be done DIY for a lot less? Its only a one way valve with a switch to turn it off!

Or the chap who makes a security plate to cover all pedals £60 , ratty's mate if I remember correctly.

like my bandit, looked at an alarm etc decided the cost out weighed benefit-ie an annoying as **** alarm and £300 quid lighter for £30 a year discount=waste of time.
Cheap chain and disc lock and if they really want it-my excess is bugger all

Good point, but, for an old landy, worth maybe 6K to replace, plus time, history etc, for a bull**** insurance value of, **** all!!!. I'm going to spend hundreds keeping mind tied down.
