I recently found the same.
l always thought that running my 110 tyres at (say) 35psi instead of the recommended 48psi would give a better ride.
Not so, it just bounces more and the bouncing from the soft tyres seems to conflict with the suspension, making things worse.
Anyway, l fitted the adjustable dampers yesterday and have done some driving on my local potholed roads.
It seems that
a/the ride is better, still no Range Rover but more controlled
b/lt's smoother over rough tarmac and potholes with much less bouncing when you hit one.
c/lt rides a couple of cm higher at the front and rear, the Terrafirma dampers have a negative force (so they slowly extend on their own if left on the floor)
d/although they are listed as "standard" they allow about 3cm extra articulation of the suspension and at this point the standard springs are on the limit in terms of dislocating from the lower spring pans.
d/the adjusters are easy to get to but you have to get on the floor to adjust them.
Overall a worthwhile improvement to the ride quality.
l have them set to softest of 4 settings. Even on the firmest setting the way the 110 deals with bad roads has improved, although it is of course quite firm on this setting.
The suspension seems to track bad roads rather than bouncing over tbem, particularly noriceable in corners taken at speed, there's less bouncing from the steering.
Terrafirma say that's due to the "low pressure nitrogen gas chamber"
Please note l am talking here about using the 110 on the road. Off road l am not sure what the difference would be and whether it would be any better.
l also have ARB's on my 110, they are the standard LR spec ones which l retrofitted when l bought it.
